In the opinion of many, Tim Scheerhorn builds some of the finest dobros ever produced, designing them to be as resonant as possible using all solid woods. Since 2010, National has taken over the production of non-custom Scheerhorn models, but this beautiful "L body" dobro was built with Tim still at the helm. The L body design stands for "Large Body", which is about half inch longer in terms of total length, a half inch wider at the waist, and a quarter inch deeper. You wouldn't expect such small changes to makes a huge difference tonally, but it will fill a room with sound! It features Tim's proprietary internal baffle design that maximizes the acoustic resonance of the instrument, and is built using gorgeous curly maple. There is some evidence of play wear (mostly around the coverplate), but overall the instrument was well-maintained while played. Comes in a hardshell case.
