The elegantly understated S Series mandolins from Northfield use the same select tone woods and are built by the same team as their varnish models. The lacquer finish on these instruments is made to be stronger than the more delicate spirit varnish, yet still be very thin as to not inhibit vibration and dampen the liveliness of the instrument.

This F5S features an Adirondack top, maple back, sides & neck, traditional sunburst with Ivoroid binding, and the standard 1 1/8" nut width. Comes housed in a Airloom "Recurve" case. Demo video coming soon!
