This 1958 F-5 isn’t just a super cool mandolin, it’s a heck of a player too! The top was re-graduated and the braces were re-voiced by legendary luthier and mandolin builder Randy Wood to make the tone more consistent with a Loar-era F-5. The fingerboard has been radiused and scooped over the treble side extension, and it has received a full refret. The tuners are replacements, but the mandolin still retains the original pickguard (in the case), bridge, and tailpiece. As far as previous repairs, a headstock crack was addressed and the back of the three-piece neck was refinished. Currently set up very well with flatwound strings and nice, low action. Comes in the original brown rectangular Gibson case with pink plush interior. Demo video coming soon!
