2000 Duff F-5
SOLD
Case: Hardshell case
Description:

Paul Duff makes some of our favorite mandolins, and this one holds up with the best of them. It is a somewhat early example, bearing a date from July 2000. It features a carved spruce top with X-bracing, maple back & sides with some nice figuring, maple neck with an ebony fingerboard, and open-gear tuners. The nut width measures 1.125”, and the neck has a soft/rounded V profile. The ebony fingerboard is very slightly radiused (but pretty darn flat), and shows next to no fret wear. Cosmetically the mandolin does show some play wear (primarily light marks on the back from shirt buttons and resting against the player’s body), and a spot on the back where there used to be an arm rest. Comes in a hardshell case.
