New price! This early 2000's D-42 comes from a great period for Martin guitars, and features the rich, complex tone you hope for in one of Martin's flagship guitars. It features a Sitka spruce top with forward-shifted, scalloped X bracing, East Indian rosewood back & sides, mahogany neck with "modified low oval" shape, ebony fingerboard with "snowflake" style inlays, ebony bridge with drop-in saddle, and gold Waverly tuners. It sports a bit of mild play wear on the back, with one small section where it may have come in contact with a belt buckle, and small finish chip on the bass side against the neck where a previous neck reset was performed. As a result the playability is great with a nice, tall saddle. Comes in the original hardshell case.
