1956 Martin D-21
SOLD
Case: Hardshell case
Description:

The D-21 is one of my favorite Martin models, and when you pick up and strum this beautiful '56 model it's easy to see why! It's had its fair share of bumps and bruises over the years, but this guitar is now a rock-solid player! The guitar features a beautifully-grained Sitka top and truly gorgeous Brazilian rosewood back & sides. There is a cleated B string crack in the top, and the pickguard is non-original to the guitar. There are 3 cracks of varying length on the sides which have also been cleated...all cracks are solid, well-done repairs. The X-braces came loose at some point and weren't immediately addressed, so there is a bit of belly in the top behind the bridge, but luckily there isn't an excessive amount of bridge/saddle lean. A small maple cap bridge plate helper was also installed. The guitar recently received frets and a professional neck reset, and the playability is excellent! This guitar really has fantastic tone...comes in a hardshell case.
