1951 c. Gibson SJ
SOLD
Case: Hardshell case
Description:

This '51 SJ sounds and plays absolutely fantastic! The guitar features a spruce top, mahogany back, sides, & neck, double parallelogram inlays, scalloped bracing pattern, and a sunburst finish...all typical for an SJ of this vintage. It’s definitely had its share of previous work done...there are four stable and repaired top cracks of varying severity, and there was some dark finish touch up done by hand around those areas. The rest of the finish was left alone. There are three back cracks that all are repaired and stable as well. The bridge is a replacement (bridge plate is original), as are the guard and tuners. There is also an enlarged end-pin jack, but no pickup currently installed. This SJ would make an excellent instrument for studio or stage work! Demo video coming soon.
