1939 Gibson J-35
SOLD
Case: Newer hardshell tweed case
Description:

This 3 tone bar J-35 is without reservation my favorite J-35 we've had come through our shop. Not only is it immaculate and totally crack-free, but it sounds absolutely incredible! The only modification to the guitar is an extremely well-executed replacement bridge that would fool most. Dry and woody are two good adjectives for this guitar...it has a nice, defined bass register and all the midrange "shimmer" you look for in a good old Gibson. It sports the fuller, rounder neck profile (as opposed to the "V" profile seen on earlier J-35 models). This guitar will hold it's own in about any situation you could throw at it...bluegrass rhythm, flatpicking, fingerstyle, and everything in between. If you like large necks and an even larger sound, this may well be the ticket! Check out the demo video below!
