This Stratocaster is a hardtail model with an S9 (1981) serial number, but pot codes that date to the 4th week of 1982, coming from the tail end of the “bullet” truss rod era. The guitar came to us from the family of the original owner, not showing much in the way of play-wear, but mostly corrosion on the hardware from humid Florida conditions. It cleaned up and set up nicely, and the result is a really cool, good-playing Strat. All the parts are original to the guitar, and it shows some color fading in the finish that is most apparent with the pickguard removed. There is some slight “orange peel” in the finish on the back and treble side, but overall the guitar is in very nice condition. Neck profile measures .885” at the 1st fret, .920” at the 12th. Weighs 8.95 lb. Comes in the original hardshell case.
