The Closet Classic series guitars from Fender Custom Shop were accurate reissues with a couple modern touches, sprayed with a light lacquer finish that would naturally age with time. This example from 2001 feels like an old friend, with some light play wear and checking to the thin nitro finish. It features a two-piece Alder body, maple neck with some light figure/birdseye and “10/56” profile, 9.5 fingerboard radius with medium jumbo frets, and some fantastic 50’s wind pickups that are among some of the best we’ve heard from the Custom Shop. The guitar comes with the original hardshell case, COA, and case candy.
