This Collings CJ is a powerful, responsive guitar with excellent bass presence and that trademark Collings high end. It was a special order instrument that features an Adirondack top with Adirondack bracing (pre-war scalloped), beautifully figured Madagascar rosewood back & sides, Honduran mahogany neck with “C shape” profile, ebony fingerboard with mother-of-pearl “long dots”, ebony bridge with drop-in bone saddle, Brazilian rosewood headstock veneer with Flourish inlay, finished in a beautiful sunburst with a tigerstripe pickguard. 1 3/4” nut width, 2 3/16” spacing at the bridge. The frets were just recently dressed and are in perfect shape. Cosmetically the guitar is in very nice condition, with some minor clear coat swirling on the top & back, and a small professionally repaired finish chip on the top of the headstock that has all but disappeared. Comes in the original hardshell case.
