2017 Caston Dreadnought
SOLD
Case: Hardshell case
Description:

New price! Built by luthier Richard Kluttz of Concord, NC, this dreadnought size guitar features a beautiful Sitka spruce top with "bearclaw" figuring & hand-cut abalone top trim/rosette ring, scalloped X bracing pattern, figured Koa back & sides, mahogany neck with ebony fingerboard, ebony bridge with drop-in saddle, and gold Schaller tuners. The neck profile is rounded, and tapers to a more full feeling profile up the neck. Frets look recently dressed with no visible wear spots. Nut width is a full 1 3/4" (1.76" with calipers), 2 1/4" spring spacing at the bridge. The guitar shows a bit of minor play wear on the top if you really look for it, but is in very nice shape overall. Tonally, the guitar has the top end chime you'd expect with a Koa guitar, but the low end response is surprisingly full. Demo video coming soon!
