2016 Bourgeois OMS Classic
SOLD
Case: Original case
Description:

We're always thrilled to have one of Dana Bourgeois & Co.'s instruments in the shop...they're among the best being made today in terms of build quality and playability. This OMS Classic comes to us in immaculate condition...it was played lightly at most since being sold new less than a year ago to the original owner who decided that he preferred to have 14 frets to the body. The guitar features a German spruce top, Indian rosewood back & sides, 12-fret mahogany neck with slotted headstock, ebony fingerboard & bridge, and bone nut and saddle (1 3/4" & 2 5/16", respectively). The 12-fret design makes this a very powerful and responsive instrument, great for both fingerstyle and flatpicking, and like all Bourgeois guitars is extremely comfortable to play. It's currently set up with more of a mind toward fingerstyle, but Presley Barker did an excellent demo video flatpicking it that you can watch below. To get the best flatpicking tone out of the guitar,a new (and slightly taller) bone saddle could be installed by Lowe Vintage at no cost for the next owner. I've owned a Bourgeois OM since 2006 and I've loved it ever since...you will too.
