1930s Marwin/Harmony Marwin Star A Style
SOLD
Case: Chipboard case
Description:

The Marwin Star mandolin was manufactured by Harmony in the 1930s to be sold through various mail order catalogs, department stores, and music stores. The stenciled inlay and painted top inlay make it one of the coolest "budget" mandolins of the era we've seen! This very nice example comes from the family of the mandolin's likely second owner, with the original tuner buttons and bridge replaced. After some work it plays comfortable and in-tune up and down the fingerboard. Comes in the original purple-lined chipboard case. On consignment.
