The 1939 D-18 Authentic features true-to-era appointments including an Adirondack spruce top, mahogany back & sides, rear-shifted scalloped bracing, all hide glue construction, 1 11/16" nut width, mahogany neck with Authentic neck carve and heel, and period-correct style 18 appointments. This model is pre-VTS (short for Martin's "Vintage Tone System"), so it sports a standard nitrocellulose finish instead of the "Vintage Gloss" formulation. Cosmetically it is in nice shape with mostly minor signs of play wear; the binding was re-glued at the waists. This guitar has received a neck reset and fretwork, so it's currently in top playing shape! Comes housed in the original case.
