This is a fantastic example of a mid-50’s, straight-braced D-18 with a balanced, woody voice! It is in original condition with the exception of an oversized pickguard and light overspray on the top, probably done by Martin in the 1960’s based on the pickguard material. The guitar’s bridge and bridge plate are original, as are the tuners. There is a single repaired crack that is viable on the back, and the requisite B string crack at the pickguard. The neck was previously reset and the guitar has had a previous fret job up to the 14th fret, so all the necessary maintenance is out of the way! Comes in a hardshell case.
