This 1944 D-18 is a fantastic player with a beautiful voice, overhauled by renowned luthier Dave Musselwhite. Standard appointments for the period include an Adirondack top with rear-shifted scalloped bracing, mahogany back & sides, mahogany neck with 1 11/16” nut, ebony fingerboard & bridge, tortoise-style pickguard, and open-gear tuners. The guitar has received a previous neck reset and refret, imparting excellent playability. The ebony bridge is a replica, as is the small, tucked maple bridge plate. Waverly tuners installed. On the top, there are four cracks behind the bridge and a pickguard crack that have all been repaired, and two cracks were addressed on the back. Comes in a hardshell case.
