Often called a “Terz” guitar, this 1958 Martin 5-18 is a 21.3” scale instrument, typically tuned a minor third up from standard. Don’t let the small size fool you: this is a serious guitar. It features typical style 18 appointments: a Sitka spruce top with 11 1/4” lower bout, mahogany back & sides, mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard, rosewood bridge with maple bridge plate, and tortoise style pickguard. The bridge, bridge plate, pickguard, and finish are all original to the guitar- the tuners are replacement Waverlys. Comes in the original hardshell case.
