The late 30’s/early 40’s Kalamazoo KG-12 was essentially the same as the later “KG-14” model, featuring L-00 dimensions with ladder bracing. It features a spruce top with a beautiful sunburst finish, flamed laminate maple back & sides, mahogany neck with 1 11/16” nut, rosewood bridge and fingerboard, firestripe pickguard, and open gear tuners. The finish, bridge, bridge plate, and pickguard are all original to the instrument; the original bridge plate shows some wear but the strings are still seating well. The tuners are non-original. The guitar would benefit from a neck reset, but is still very playable in the first position. There is a bit of bellying behind the bridge, but nothing out of the ordinary for a ladder-braced guitar still sporting the original bridge plate. Frets appear to have been previously dressed with no major divots. Comes in a chipboard case.
