1964 Gretsch 6120
$3,995.00
Case: Original hardshell case
Description:

This 6120 model is one of the better-playing vintage Gretsch guitars we’ve come across, thanks to a previously well-executed neck reset and refret. It features a 16” semi-hollow body with painted f-holes, 3-piece neck (maple/walnut/maple) with zero fret, ebony fingerboard with “thumbprint” inlays, two Filter ‘Tron pickups with two switches on upper bass bout (a 3-way toggle pickup selector and 3-way toggle tone selector), master volume control knob on upper treble bout, two independent pickup volume knobs on lower treble bout with 3-way toggle off/on switch, Gretsch Bigsby vibrato, single mute with mute knob on lower treble bout, the signature Gretsch leather backing pad, horseshoe headstock inlay, and gold open-gear tuners. This guitar has survived with it’s binding intact; there are a few spots where it shows some deterioration, but no material has been lost and the guitar is not in need of any sort of binding replacement. The rubber on the mute has dried up, as is common on these guitars. Everything functions as it should, and the Pat. No. Filter ‘Tron pickups are just magic. The guitar plays very well due to the aforementioned neck reset and refret, and comes housed in the original hardshell case.
