This early 50’s LG-2 is light-weight, sounds fantastic, and is truly fun to play. The LG-2 models of this era featured a Sitka spruce top, mahogany back, sides & neck, rosewood bridge & fingerboard, bound top and back, and three-on-a-plate tuners. The guitar has received a previous neck reset- the action is currently 6/64" & 5/64", with 7/64" of saddle showing above the bridge on the bass side. Frets were done previously- they’re crowned, leveled and play beautifully. As far as previous repairs, the bridge is a well made replica, a bone nut & saddle were installed, and the guitar has replacement tuners. The original bridgeplate was properly filled and recut, and the bolts are still in place. There is a slight center seam separation on the back that doesn’t appear to be going anywhere, and no other body cracks. There was one cracked back brace that was repaired after arriving at the shop, but aside from that was “turn key” and ready to go. A very inspiring small body guitar. Check out the demo video below! Comes in a hardshell case.
