This ’67 Candy Apple Red Mustang features the “Competition Stripe” paint scheme and matching headstock, alder body, maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, two single-coil pickups with on/off/phase slider switch for each pickup, floating bridge with Fender Dynamic Vibrato tailpiece, and pearloid pickguard. The Fender tuners were swapped for Schertler machine heads, and for some reason the strap buttons were removed (there’s an extra strap button hole in the bass side horn and on the lower bout). The original frets show some wear, but the guitar plays well for having such tiny frets. Pots date to the 23rd week of 67, neck date is 16JUN69B. Comes in the original hardshell case.
