The OM1A JL is the signature model of renowned acoustic jazz artist Julian Lage, and easily my personal favorite Collings guitar model. An extension of the "Traditional Series" instruments, the OM1A JL was conceived through a collaboration between Bill Collings and Julian that lasted right up until Bill's passing in 2017. It features an Adirondack top, Honduran mahogany back, sides & neck, animal protein glue construction, pre-war scalloped x bracing pattern, ebony fingerboard & bridge, compound 14-26" fingerboard radius, bone nut and saddle (1 11/16" and 2 3/16" spacing, respectively), satin nitrocellulose finish, early Collings script logo in Mother-of-Pearl, and Waverly tuners. What really makes this guitar exceptional in my mind is the custom "JL carve" neck profile, based on Julian's 1939 000-18. Collings used careful analysis and digitization to capture the exact unique, asymmetrical dimensions achieved after years of use, and it is one of the most comfortable neck profiles I've played on a Collings OM. This guitar is in nearly "like new" condition, with only the slightest signs of previous play wear. Comes in the original TKL Deluxe hardshell case.
