1929 Martin 0-18
$7,995.00
Case: Original trap-door case
Description:

This featherweight 0-18 is a phenomenal example, with the bottom-loading chipboard case still in fantastic working condition as well. The guitar features an Adirondack spruce top, scalloped X bracing, mahogany back & sides, 12 fret mahogany neck with slotted headstock, ebony fingerboard, ebony bridge, and bar frets. The original bar frets were recently dressed by luthier David Sheppard, and the guitar was set up at that time as well. The guitar has had a previous neck reset, and the neck was refinished at some point; the rest of the guitar’s finish is original. The small maple bridge plate is in excellent shape, and the guitar is currently set up with Silk & Steel 11’s. Its tone can only be described as “woody and open”, responding best to fingerstyle or a lighter flatpicking attack.
