1928 Gibson F-2
$2,995.00
Case: Original hardshell case
Description:

This F-2 is an excellent player, ready to go and needing nothing. It features a spruce top, oval sound hole with double rope pattern & center rosette, maple back & sides, mahogany neck with “V” profile, ebony fingerboard with pearl pot inlays, adjustable bridge & truss rod, and open gear tuners. The bridge is a modern replacement, and the tailpiece cover is missing. The frets were recently dressed and have some height left in them. Aside from the headstock scroll repairs, there is a small crack in the top at the lower point on the treble side that was repaired previously. When the mandolin came in, we had the back re-glued at the tailpiece, which had come loose. That repair is essentially undetectable. The lid of the original hardshell case has come off the hinges, but could be repaired and protects the mandolin when closed.  13 7/8” scale, 1 5/32” (1.159” with calipers) nut width.
