Oahu guitars were made by Chicago-area guitar manufacturers Kay, Regal, and others at the behest of Harry Stanley, owner of Oahu Publishing. The 68K was originally a Hawaiian guitar, x-braced from the factory with a deep body design similar to a Nick Lucas model. This guitar was nicely converted to “Spanish” style, and features a spruce top with pearl trim over laminate maple back & sides. Other features include a replica rosewood pyramid bridge, “vine” fingerboard inlay, and open-gear tuners. The neck is a pronounced V shape, with a 1.78” nut width. Demo video coming soon!
