Many people associate the early 30s Gibson L-1 with Robert Johnson, as one of the only known photos of the blues legend shows him holding the early L-1 with its distinctive lower bout. This 1931 model was the next iteration of the model featuring a wider lower bout, slightly longer scale, and regular x-bracing pattern. This particular model is crack-free and original with the exception of a new bone saddle and a small plug beside the heel where a strap button was at one time. The sunburst on this guitar is just beautiful, and it sounds as good as it looks. Demo video coming soon.
