This early Bourgeois "Banjo Killer" (#180) is a powerful & articulate dread that is extremely comfortable to play! It features a figured Sitka spruce top, figured mahogany back & sides, mahogany neck, Bourgeois' soft V neck profile with 1 22/32" nut width, rosewood bridge & fingerboard, and open gear tuners. The saddle is a bone replacement, installed when the guitar received a neck reset most likely. The currently open-gear Waverly tuners do not match the original footprint exactly, but they did not not require any new holes be drilled. The guitar was very well cared for, and shows less than average wear for a 26 year old guitar. There is one small ding on the top that breaks the finish, and a small mark on the back that can only be seen at the correct angle. Overall, fantastic shape! Comes with a K&K Pure Mini pickup installed (our favorite), and in what we would assume is the original hardshell case.
