This Weber Gallatin was built during some of the company's best years and is far from what you'd expect in an "entry level" F style mandolin. It features a hand-graduated spruce top, mahogany back, sides & neck, ebony bridge & fingerboard, hand-scalloped bracing, and a full gloss finish. Other features include a vintage-style tailpiece (this was before Weber began using the one-piece cast tailpiece) and open-gear tuners. Even without body binding, the mandolin looks great with the beveled edges and simple appointments. 1 1/8" nut width, 14" scale. Cosmetically, there are minimal signs of play wear...we'd put this mandolin almost "like new". Comes in a hardshell case.
