This Altman MF-5 is a strong bluegrass mandolin, with plenty of projection and a sweet top end. Built in 2006, it features a 1-piece Englemann spruce top, curly maple back & sides, ebony fingerboard with pearl dot markers, adjustable ebony bridge, maple neck with "V" profile and full 1 1/4" fossilized ivory nut, ebony headstock veneer with pearl Altman logo and "Fern" inlay, walnut veneer on the back side of the headstock with Waverly tuners, Altman-engraved James tailpiece, and a varnish finish. The mandolin is in very nice cosmetic condition, with nothing more than minor play wear. Comes in a hardshell case.
