New price! The Schoenberg Soloist was a collaboration between Eric Schoenberg, Eric's shop luthier at the time, Dana Bourgeois, and Martin Guitar Co. Built at Martin under the supervision of Dana, the Soloist was modeled after the original OM guitars with some modern appointments with the fingerstyle guitarist in mind. It features an Engelmann spruce top with forward-shifted scalloped bracing, Brazilian rosewood back & sides, mahogany neck with "soft V" neck profile, ebony fingerboard with short pattern "Diamonds & Squares" inlay, ebony pyramid bridge, small teardrop guard, and gold closed back tuners. The nut measures 1 3/4", with a 2 7/16" string spread at the bridge. There is a bit of fret wear under the E & B strings on frets 1-5. Cosmetically the guitar shows some signs of use, mostly a few finish dings in the top and some button marks on the back. This special model features a gold engraved plate on the neck block with the model and serial number, as well as a label inside signed by Dana and Eric.
