This D-12 Brazilian was completed in 2000, custom-ordered with an Adirondack top, Brazilian rosewood back & sides, and Dalmatian pickguard. It was also custom voiced/braced for fingerstyle playing with light gauge strings according to the accompanying letter from Richard Hoover. Nut width is 1 7/8” (1.896 with calipers). The guitar is in excellent overall condition- it exhibits two nearly invisible pinpoint dings in the top that didn’t break the finish, and some light shirt button marks on the back. Frets 1-5 show some wear, primarily under the unwound strings, but the neck angle and set up are great. The endpin was enlarged for a pickup, but there is not a pickup currently installed in the guitar. Tonally it is very clear, open & responsive- comes in the original hardshell case.
