The Martin J-40 is a tight-waisted "jumbo" size acoustic with wonderful volume and projection in a very comfortable-to-play package. Slightly wider at the lower bout than a dreadnought (16" vs. 15 7/8", respectively), it shares the same 4 7/8" depth as its "D" counterparts. This J-40 comes to us in wonderful, nearly unplayed condition. It features a Stika spruce top, East Indian rosewood back & sides, forward-shifted X-bracing pattern, long 25.4" scale, 1 3/4" nut width, and Martin's "Modified Low Oval" neck shape. The result is a strong, dynamic guitar, equally suited to both flat and fingerpicking. Includes the original hardshell case.
