The Authentic Series guitars are Martin's most faithful recreation of a prewar D-18 featuring forward-shifted X bracing, Adirondack top & braces, 1 3/4" nut width, full vintage neck profile, open gear tuners, and all hide glue construction. Cosmetically the guitar is in really nice shape, with a few small dings that don’t break the finish, and a small amount of finish checking around the bridge that is only visible depending on your viewing angle. The binding was re-glued in two spots at the waist, and there's a small spot on the headstock where a tuner was left on for an extended period that's only visible from certain angles. Tonally the guitar is very strong, with a pronounced bottom end and defined trebles. Comes in the original hardshell case.
