1953 Martin 00-28G
SOLD
Case: Newer hardshell case
Description:

The 00-28G was Martin's foray into classical-style gut string guitars. This guitar is fan braced like a classical guitar with a flat ebony fingerboard, 2" nut width, and ebony pin-tied bridge. Martin produced a total of 1,531 of these instruments from 1936-1962, when it was replaced with the "00-28C". This guitar has had two repaired cracks in the top (on the lower bout, treble side), one repaired back crack, a strap button installed on the neck heel, and a replacement saddle. There is some slight fingerboard wear around the first three frets, but no internal repairs or modifications. Check out the demo below!
