The ’57 SJ-200 reissues coming from Gibson Custom Shop are some of the finest jumbo reissues they’ve produced (at least in our opinion!), staying true to the materials and specs of the original “King of the Flattops”. It features a thermally-aged Sitka spruce top with hand-scalloped x-bracing (attached with hide glue), select flame maple back, sides & neck, rosewood fingerboard with mother-of-pearl Crown inlays, rosewood “four-bar” mustache bridge, bone nut & saddle, Gotoh “Keystone” tuners, and a thin “VOS” nitrocellulose finish. Comes in the original brown Gibson case.
