The E40D is Eastman’s top of the line dreadnaught guitar with Abalone inlays and premium wood selections. This particular example was a prototype for the new Eastman/Bourgeois “Tone-Tite” neck joint, and has more understated neck appointments than a typical E40 model. It features a Thermo-cured AAA Adirondack spruce top, scalloped forward-shifted X bracing, rosewood back & sides, mahogany neck with traditional “even C” profile, ebony bridge & fingerboard, Abalone purfling and rosette on the top, herringbone perfling on back, and gold open-gear tuners. 1 3/4” nut width, 2 5/32” string spacing at the bridge. The guitar also had a K&K Pure Mini pickup professionally installed, so it’s ready for live performance right out of the box. Cosmetically the guitar is in fantastic shape, with only faint clear coat swirls on the back. Comes in a hardshell case.
