New price! This D1A Traditional from Collings is an excellent-sounding mahogany dread, with more of a vintage-inspired voice than many Collings offerings. It features a strong low/low-mid register, with nicely rounded trebles and plenty of power on tap. Build specs include an Adirondack spruce top with Traditional Series pre-war scalloped X-bracing (no tongue brace), Honduran mahogany back & sides, Honduran mahogany neck with Traditional Series profile & redesigned neck support (an adjustable truss rod design engineered to mimic a T-bar neck), ebony fingerboard with 14”-26” compound radius, ebony bridge with long bone saddle, ultra-thin gloss nitrocellulose finish on the body, gloss polyester resin finish on the neck, and nickel Waverly tuners. 1 3/4” nut, 2 5/16” spacing at the bridge. Cosmetically, the guitar has the slightest shirt button swirls on the back, one extremely small ding below the bridge that doesn’t break the finish, and a slight mark on the back of the headstock. Comes in a Collings Deluxe hardshell case.
