This 1938 Gibson RB-1 is a one-owner instrument originally sold through H. Polliack & Co., Ltd., a Gibson retailer in South Africa. It bears the "Made In The U.S.A." stamp on the back of the peghead indicative of an Gibson export instrument. The lack of a tone-ring offers a significant weight savings, but the banjo will still do just fine in any bluegrass situation. All parts and hardware are factory original to the banjo and it is in exceptional condition cosmetically. To top it all off, it was brought back to the US still residing in its original Redline case. This is the total package!
