Description:

A one-owner guitar, this D-18 Special was part of Martin's "Guitar of the Month" series and was limited to a run of only 28 instruments. The first Martin since 1932 to use a wood heel cap, binding, and end graft. Other features include a Sitka spruce top with forward-shifted scalloped bracing, mahogany back, sides & neck, rosewood fingerboard with snowflake inlays, rosewood bridge, and Grover tuners. A rosewood & brass "cap" was added to the bridge plate, presumably as a tonal improvement. Cosmetically the guitar in in very fine shape, with very little in the way of play wear. 1 11/16" nut width, 2 1/8" string spacing. Comes in the original hardshell case.
