Don Wilson is known to many as Wayne Henderson’s partner-in-crime and a fine guitar builder in his own right. If you’ve been to Wayne’s shop and seen the various tools and jigs he uses to build guitars, then you’ve seen some of Don’s handiwork! This stunning guitar combines the dry, woody tone of mahogany with 42-style appointments, making for a very unique guitar! The top is old-growth Adirondack, and the back & sides are a quilted mahogany that immediately catches your eye. The top was signed by Don in 2013 and is stamped serial number 72. The guitar also features some pre-war specs like forward-shifted bracing and a 1 3/4” nut width, making for an excellent bluegrass/flatpicking machine! Comes in the original hardshell case.
