1940 Martin D-28
SOLD
Case: Hardshell case
Description:

This gem of a herringbone was re-topped by renowned guitar builder Wayne Henderson (using the correct rear-shifted x pattern), and he did a most excellent job in our opinion. When the top was replaced the entire guitar was refinished with the exception of the original decal, which appears to have been taped off to avoid damaging it. The bridge and bridge plate are well-executed replacements, as are the tuners and pickguard. As far as previous repairs, the only crack of note is a single cleated back crack that was also very well done. The instrument has also had a proper neck reset and refret, imparting excellent playability. The guitar itself sounds fantastic and will only get better with playing time as the top continues to break in. Check out the demo video below! On consignment.
