1943/44 Gibson J-45
SOLD
Case: Non-original hardshell case
Description:

This "Banner" mahogany top J-45 came to us from a local player who received the guitar from the family of the original owner, and we're pleased to now be able to offer it for sale. The finish, bridge, bridge plate, frets, and pickguard are all original to the instrument. The bridge plate was plugged and re-drilled, and the guitar has received new frets and what appears to be an old neck reset. The bass side tuners are original, and the treble side is probably older. Sports a 1 3/4" nut width with the typical beefy banner neck profile. There are 3 repaired top cracks and a repaired center-seam separation in the top; the back and sides are crack-free. There is also some evidence of a previously installed pickup that can be seen on the top. This is a great opportunity to own a wonderful player from Gibson's Banner era.
