This 1940 000-18 was a soldier’s companion, with Army Laundry #B7121 etched in the pickguard and headstock veneer. It has had quite a bit of restoration work to get back into its now very playable condition. It features an Adirondack spruce top with rear-shifted scalloped x-bracing, mahogany back & sides, mahogany neck with ebony fingerboard, ebony bridge, tortoise-style pickguard, and open-gear tuners. The ebony fingerboard is a replacement, as is the ebony bridge, maple bridge plate, and more recent Waverly tuners. A jack hole was plugged in the top, a crunch was repaired on the back with a cleat, and the back & sides were refinished with nitrocellulose lacquer. Comes in a hardshell case.
