1951 Gibson CF-100E
$7,495.00
Case: Original hardshell case
Description:

The CF-100E was introduced in 1951, and this particular guitar was one of  241 produced during that first year of production, with only 1,257  built in total. It features a Sitka spruce top with X-bracing pattern, Florentine cutaway, mahogany back & sides, mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard and bridge, maple bridge plate and Kluson Deluxe tuners. The guitar is in excellent overall condition; the bridge is a nicely made replica with the original bridge plate still in-tact, and the original tuners have replacement buttons installed. The neck has been previously reset, and there is a small crack repair to the upper side of the neck heel just below the fingerboard that is visible with some touch-up. The only other crack repair is a back seam that was glued up. Because this guitar is X-braced like it’s LG-2 brethren, it sounds much more dynamic soundscape than the later, ladder-braced J-160E. Comes in the original Gibson case.
