1970’s Martin guitars aren’t always looked on as favorably as their earlier counterparts (often for good reason), but there are good ones to be had as evidenced by this D-18. The tone is balanced, with a rounded top end and good volume. It features a Sitka spruce top with straight X-bracing, mahogany back, sides & neck, rosewood bridge & fingerboard, and Martin branded tuning machines. The finish, bridge, bridge plate, pickguard, and tuners are all original to the instrument; the guitar had a previous neck reset & refret, and was outfitted with a bone nut & saddle. There are two repaired back cracks that each received three very tidy circular cleats, but no other major cracks or repairs. Comes in the original hardshell case.
