Bob Thompson of West Virginia is a fine guitar builder, taking cues from traditional Martin designs. This “D-45” boasts an Adirondack spruce top, Brazilian rosewood back & sides, mahogany neck with ebony fingerboard, ebony bridge with drop-in saddle, tortoise style pickguard, and nickel engraved Waverly tuners. It also features “45” style cosmetic appointments: abalone trim on the top, back & sides as well as around the rosette and the perimeter of the headstock, “long pattern” snowflake inlays on the fingerboard, snowflake inlays on the bridge, and a torch-style headstock inlay. The body and neck are also bound with maple, giving it a unique look. The nut width is a narrow 1 3/4” at 1.745”. Cosmetically the guitar is in nearly new condition, with no major bumps or bruises. Comes in hardshell case.
