1974 Gibson EDS-1275
SOLD
Case: Gibson Custom hardshell case
Description:

While there are some custom ordered EDS-1275’s floating around from a year or two earlier, the model was properly reintroduced in 1974 with the specs you see here: 12 and 6 string necks, solid SG-shape mahogany body, three-piece mahogany necks, bound rosewood fingerboards with split-parallelogram inlays, four “witch hat” knobs on the lower bout (one master volume & tone for each side), pickup selector on lower horn, selector switch between the two tailpieces to toggle between 12 and 6 string sides, four “T-top” pickups, “Gibson Deluxe” closed back tuners, finished in a walnut stain. The 6 string side appears to have had Grovers installed at one time; it has more vintage-correct tuners now installed, but there are holes visible from the old tuners. The body appears to have partially separated at the seam, and a thin splice was made to repair it (see back photo). The lone visible pot code dates to 1974 (week isn’t visible); the only changed component in the wiring harness is the volume pot on the 6 string side. Comes in a modern Gibson Custom 12/6 case.
