If the Rickenbacker 660/12 immediately makes you think of Mike Campbell and Tom Petty, you’re not alone! The 660/12 was preceded by the 660/12 TP, a limited run of Tom Petty signature 12 strings based on Mike Campbell’s ’63 625/12. After the limited run, Rickenbacker decided to keep the model in the catalog. This particular 660/12 was a “Color of the Year” edition for 2002, sporting a special “Burgundy Glo” finish that really pops with the checkerboard binding. Other features include a solid maple body, rosewood fingerboard with full width inlays, gold pickguard, and vintage-style scatterwound “toaster top” pickups. Cosmetically the guitar is in very nice condition, with very minor play wear. Comes in the original hardshell case.
