The Gibson A-3 was produced from 1902-1923, with the “Antique Ivory” finish available as a custom order option from 1918 until the model was discontinued. It features a carved spruce top with double binding, single-bound birch back & sides, single-bound mahogany neck with ebony fingerboard, ivoriod soundhole rosette, grained ivoroid pickguard & bracket anchor (also unique to this model mandolin), vine pattern headstock inlay, one-piece compensated bridge, open-gear tuners, and engraved “The Gibson” tailpiece. The mandolin is in fantastic cosmetic condition and free from previous repairs, with some visible wear to the original frets 1-5. Comes in the original hardshell case.
